General
Yes, it is safe for consumption. The odor comes from our signature ingredient, green tripe. Green Tripe is one of the best foods to feed your pets. Before domestication, their wild counterparts have thrived on this for centuries. In modern times, although it is a well-known secret amongst owners that green tripe is nutritionally dense and beneficial for their pets, it is not widely available. NUTRIPE makes this possible.
NUTRIPE’s signature ingredient is the Green Tripe, a well-known superfood for pets. Green tripe is sourced from the stomach lining of ruminating animals grazing green pastures. Ruminating animals have four-chambered stomachs — the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasum to support multiple digestions which systematically break down grasses with a slew of digestive enzymes, gastric juices, and amino acids. The digestive process is similar to a fermentation process with good bacteria acting to aid in digestion. Our green tripe is from the fourth chamber — nutrient-rich abomasum where gastric juices such as rennet consisting of Chymosinchymosin, a protease enzyme, and other enzymes such as pepsin and gastric lipase are secreted to continue the digestion of the food before acid chyme moves into the intestine. In addition, the green tripe is raw — gently rinsed with cold water, unprocessed, and unbleached, leaving all the natural goodness inside. Green tripe is unique as it is completely natural and contains a range of proteins, minerals, probiotics, essential fatty acids, digestive enzymes, and vitamins. These nutrients present in green tripe support a healthy gut microbiome in your pet and are essential to their wellbeing. A healthy gut is the foundation for a healthy immune system — it accounts for about 30% of your immune system! With a healthy gut microbiome, your pet’s health is well taken care of.

Safety & Ingredients
All the core ingredients are from ethical and sustainable sources in New Zealand and Australia.
We do not use any artificial preservatives and colourings in all our products. The main method of preservation is freeze-drying, air-drying or canning processes. Our foods going through the processes can be kept for a long time without additives and preservatives.
All our products are grain-free. Disclaimer: Our grain-free food is produced in the same facility where products containing grains and eggs are made. Though best manufacturing practices are adopted, inadvertent trace amounts of these ingredients may still be found.
Good nutrition is provided through a balanced diet consisting main nutrients such as proteins and energy from carbohydrates and fats, as well as essential nutrients which your pet is unable to make on its own. These essential nutrients include essential amino acids, essential fatty acids of omerga-6 and omega-3 classes, and all the vitamins and minerals. The best pet foods are formulated to include a complete and balanced diet according to the nutrient requirements for the different life stages, such as puppy/kitten and adult dog/cat, as specified by recognised authorities like the AAFCO or FEDIAF.

Depending on the size of the dog, once or twice a day, and up to three times a day for very large breeds of dog. If feeding kibble feed or dehydrated food, ensure ready access to clean water.
Most dog foods from reputable companies have feeding guides for their foods. Remember these are a guide only. The amount that can be fed will vary from the guide according to the environmental circumstances/genetic makeup of each dog and the amount of exercise that the dog receives.
Yes, but the bones should be fed raw preferably. Cooked chicken bones can splinter during chewing and cause problems.
The optimal time for transition will vary by breed of dog. Small breeds can transition to adult food at about 6 – 8 months, medium breeds at about 9 – 12 months and large breeds months at about 12 – 18 months and very large breeds at about 24 months.
Change pet’s diets slowly. Take about 7 days for the transition, starting at 25% new diet / 75% previous diet for 2 days, 50/50 for 2 days, 75/25 for 2 days, then finally onto 100% of the new diet at 7 days.
Yes, a dog can be vegetarian but it is not preferable. On the other hand, it is very difficult for a cat to be fed on a strictly vegetarian diet without supplying some specific nutrients not commonly found in vegetarian foods.
Pet Care Questions
The signs of dehydration in cats and dogs may vary, depending on the underlying cause of the dehydration. Common signs include: - Loss of appetite - Loss of skin elasticity - Vomiting with/without diarrhea - Dark coloured urine - Excessive panting - Sunken, dry-looking eyes - Very pale, dry or sticky gums - Weak or little energy It is important to ensure that your pet is hydrated with free constant access to fresh and cool water, particularly when feeding dry food diets, and to limit their time and activity in the heat. If you notice your pet is not drinking enough water but does not show any of the signs above, they are likely to be fine. If your pets are being fed wet food diets that are high in water content, then they may have had enough water intake from their diet. Nevertheless, do consult your veterinarian for advice if your pet exhibits any sudden change in the amount of water it drinks.
Your pets pass firmer and smaller stools as their bodies consume most of the food. Green tripe, our signature ingredient, contains probiotics and digestive enzymes which aid digestion and support a healthy gut microbiome in your pet.
